Koa!

Here is the Hawaiian Koa I got for my acoustic.
Just came in today.

The Spruce should look and sound amazing along with the Koa.

It will look much better after I get it finished.

Koa is a very rare wood and it costs a lot more than other varieties of wood you would use for a guitar. This is actually the first time I have ever worked with Koa, so it will definitely be a learning experience!
This guitar will not have a cutaway, but that's all I've really planned for how this guitar will look. I like to start the guitar before I plan it all, the look of the wood and the body usually will tell me what I need to do to it to make it unique.

I'm counting the hours for this guitar build... so far I've had 5 hours to stare at the wood wishing I had time to start on it this week.

I'll keep this blog updated with the progress!
