"Sorbera Guitars, brilliant, superb, stunning, designed specifically to meet your needs. My name is Ryan and I met Chris through a wonderful mutual friend. After a few small written interactions I knew that Chris was going to finish out a guitar for me. His professionalism, experience, and passion for guitars speaks loudly through each meeting. His expertise finds itself in neatly designed inlays, rosettes, and wood combinations. His shop set humbly in the hill country, you'll find he and his brother inspired by their surroundings. I am not only happy to be a Sorbera Guitar owner but will have Chris design all of my guitars from now on. Mark my words, these brothers guitars will be all over in the near future. Email Chris and get started on the best guitar you will ever play. Thanks for your beautiful work Chris."

"In researching the tonewood qualities of limba wood, I found that the Sorbera brothers had made several guitars from black limba. I looked at the pictures of these guitars on their site and the instruments were stunning. I communicated with Chris Sorbera concerning the type of sound you get from limba and decided to have Chris build a custom guitar for me. Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable in assisting me in making choices for my guitar and in explaining the process of building the guitar. It has been a great experience dealing with Chris and I am looking forward to following the process as my guitar takes shape. I highly recommend talking to Chris if you are considering having a guitar custom built."

"After meeting the Sorbera brothers at the most unlikely of places it was very apparent, merely a few moments into our first conversation, that they were as passionate about creating instruments as I was about playing music. So we set out to design and build instruments that however powerful, had class, exceptional tonality, clarity and eye catching aesthetics. I remember the first time I held my first Sorbera guitar... it was priceless not because of the extensive hands on design process, but because I was able to observe the blood, the sweat and the tears that went into building the instruments. When I heard the instruments it was, simply put, an awesome experience. To this day I have not heard better sounding guitars... and anyone and everyone who has played one or both of my guitars from the Sorbera brothers has stated they sound amazing. I can honestly say I'll never play anything else for the rest of my music career."

Chris and Daniel,

I just came back from Sunday Worship where we performed a wonderful duet of He Will Carry Me (Mark Schultz). The voices blended beautifully with really nice harmony and your guitar handled the accompaniment, on its own, wonderfully well. The arrangement we used was demanding with minor and major seconds, major suspended and suspended sevenths and a traveling lead line in the bottom register. Every note required clear presence and sustain so the performers could hear their notes and so that the harmony built into the chords could compliment the harmony of the voices.

It really worked well - an experience of message and music that gave joy, hope and help to many.

That has been the consistent experience with the guitar you made for me. It sings right along with our best voices. It is easy to play, fitting my smallish hands better than any guitar I have ever played. It cooperates with my finger picking style, and provides a nicely equalized and voiced output directly to our sanctuary sound system.

It is a gorgeous guitar - the blend of rosewood, tight grained cedar, white binding and the "crown of thorns" rosette inlay do not fail to bring complimentary comments.

I began playing in 1968 on a mail order something-or-other, Since then I have owned a Gibson J-50 (1965), an Aria 12-string (1971) and still own a Yamaha FG-300 (1969) which I have played steadily since 1982. I play folk and Christian worship preferring finger picking to strumming. The Yamaha has developed into a wonderful sounding guitar with nice resonance and nicely articulated top-end. This Sorbera guitar from day one beats the tonality, timbre, articulation, clarity and "sing" of the Yamaha.

Thank you for your gift of workmanship! It is treasured.
